Poems of the Century

.

-Bhimdarshan Roka
(1930)

My own, my rainy season comes!
In the rain rainbow shower now the colours seven!
Why shouldn't I run,
Rich Presents of the realms remote,
To me descend!

Why shouldn't I vent myself in loud out-bursts?
This pent up heart bursts open,
This continuous foliage-voicing shower
Drowns all the gamut!

The sable cloud flying over the blue!
And the wild shadow running over the earth!

Why should I not touch both shores today
For the river rises in flood and we leap out together!
