You beautiful Flowers of the Autumnal Noon
Bloom beside the pool
For beauty's sake, for memory's shake
Gently smile and rule
Mind not ripples that grow and go
Mind not trouts that swim so slow
Toss to wind that gently blow
With whispers mild and low.
You see the wedding party there
That sees the typhoon will decline
You see the cascade falling there
That murmurs sounds in rhyme.
Do not touch that water cold
Nor fill like swimming there
But let this calms and quite prevail
With tender sentiments all.
You see the humble tea-room there
Where do they Chanoyin hold
Cradling up and sipping tea
In twos and threes and four.
On top you see the temple grave
Of traditional Japanese style
It stands as though the poet himself
Sits to chime his rhyme.
Care not of the clouds so black
Nor of weather that is crack
Ye, a child of Nature, please
Stand erect and smile.
No one else will add as much
As you do the graceful charm
To this heaven whose every part
Breath the human heart.
