Thamel.com is grateful to its customer, Mr. Sujit Thapa, for suggesting a hugely successful gift idea, Khasi, on the occasion of Dashain. As a gesture of its appreciaton, Thamel.com provided a Khasi gift to Mr. Thapa's family in Nepal. We, at Thamel.com take our customers' suggestions seriously and do our best to implement their suggestions.Here's a report on how a prized idea from Sujit Thapa, a good friend, and a regular customer was taken in, implemented and also rewarded.

Sujit
had suggested the idea of selling Khasi online to us while he was
trying to send gifts to Nepal during father's day. As Dashain was
approaching, he had suggested that it would be something interesting and
possible to send as a gift to families in Nepal.It was thought that this
was a great opportunity for Nepalese all over the world to demonstrate
to their families in Nepal their presence in spirit, albeit their physical
absence, by sending the khasi and/or other gifts. In addtion, especially
to some families in Nepal, that might have a difficult time to afford
a Khasi and partake effectively in the festivities, the internet, would
create a possibility where a Khasi in Dashain could be a reality provided
that some family member based outside Nepal used the site for its purchase.
Thamel.com saw the perfect opportunity to blend technology and culture
and went along with the suggestion.
How it was delivered??
The
family member to whom the Khasi was being sent was contacted and were taken
to Khasi Bazaar in Kalanki where the recipient of the gift chose theKhasi
to their liking. The concept generated lots of interests from
Nepalese based in Malaysia, Australia, USA, UK. Hongkong, and India.
